Health Insurance

 


Also called group health insurance, it is employer sponsored healthcare recieved by employees. Typically, this comes at a much cheaper rate than if employees were to buy their own insurance privately. This can include basic packages with bare minimum coverage to packages that include dental and vision care coverage.

Other Benefits
 

This can include Daycare services for children or even bonuses received from doing recommended tasks like joining a gym. These benefits are usually only offered to employees on the upper level within a company. These are rarely seen through small business and are instead found in large corporations.

Vacation Days
 

This is the amount of days throughout the year which an employee can take off work. Some companies offer leave with pay. The amount of days offered vary significantly from company to company and are usually non transferable after a year. Unlike AT&T's minutes, they do not roll over.

This is what people think of when they think about HR. Benefits. For most workers, their ompany provides them with benefits, such as health insurance or vacation. Out of a survey of 20 people, 14 said the major role of the Department of Human Resources was to handle employee's benefits.
